Washington-Monroe Street Greenway

Monroe Street Greenway Logo

The Washington-Monroe Street Greenway will run from the Trolley Trail at Milwaukie Bay Park through downtown Milwaukie and all the way to the multi-use paths constructed along Linwood Ave. Check out the September 2024 Washington-Monroe Greenway Project Factsheet. Separately, Clackamas County will extend the Linwood multi-use paths to the Springwater Corridor and is undertaking design and construction of the greenway from Linwood Ave. to Fuller Rd. (construction in 2024-26). You can learn more about the Clackamas County extension here.

  • What happens to all of the comments? Staff will be compiling all of the comments collected at the Open House on Sep. 12 and the comments submitted on this site and then will work to address each of them.   • Take the Quick Poll below to let us know how often you use a greenway.
  • Provide general comments on the current design using the Comments tool below.
  • Live along the route? Use the Live along the route? tool below to send along any questions you might have and provide your contact information if you want staff to reach out.
  • Lastly, use the Questions? tool below to submit any questions you might have and staff will answer them when they are able to.

(9/2/24) Washington-Monroe Street Greenway Open House - Thursday, September 12, 2024 (Stop by anytime from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.) at Wichita Park, 5908 SE Monroe St.

  • The city is improving safety along a 1.25 mile stretch along Washington St., Garrett St. and Monroe St. This is called the “East Segment” of the longer Monroe Street Greenway.
  • Stop by to ask questions, learn more about the project, give your feedback, and partake in light refreshments. Project staff will share a map of the current designs and a preliminary construction schedule.
