Earth Day 2021

Consultation has concluded

An image of a globe outlined with the Milwaukie skyline, overlaid with text "Milwaukie celebrates Earth Day, Saturday, April 24".

In honor of Earth Day festivities taking place on April 24, staff at the Ledding Library have put together a reading list of fiction and non-fiction readings to kick off a month long reading challenge for readers of all ages in April!

Reading is proven to strengthen brain function, increase empathy, expand vocabulary, reduce stress and promotes a lifelong curiosity with learning. This Spring we’re encouraging community members to just read and to keep reading.

Tell us what you love to read!

If you have any other favorite reading materials or reading locations we’d love to hear about them. Use the Reading Recommendations tool below to share, inspire others to read your favorites and find some new favorites as well.
