4 generations enjoying the library
My parents were both avid readers and utilized the Ledding library. They ensured my brother and I had our own library cards. We were proud of those cards and the responsibility we took to care for library books. In middle and high school the library also became the hub to study with friends after school. It was also where I had my first "real " job as a Library Page when I was 16. Back then it required passing a civil service exam.
Fast forward to when I moved back to Milwaukie to raise a family. I quickly obtained a new library card. We frequented the children's library and story time weekly and often multiple times in a week. When my kids were old enough they got their own library cards. When my grandkids came along, they also enjoyed trips to the Ledding library and story time.
The Ledding library remains a treasured resource for families and the community. It has been wonderful to see how the library has evolved with the services that are now offered. I have a lot of respect for our library staff and their dedication to providing high quality services to the community.
