The Neighborhood District Association (NDA) Interest Survey and Discussion has concluded for 2022. 

You can find the results of the survey on the Survey Results Report. 

City staff will discuss the results of the survey with current NDA officers at the next NDA Leadership Meeting on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022.

Hector Campbell NDA Adopt-A-Road Cleanup Event

Milwaukie has seven Neighborhood District Associations (NDAs) that meet monthly to hold vibrant discussions, and carry out community building projects and events. If you live, own property or a business, or represent a nonprofit in one of them, you are already a member. Participation is free and funding is available to accomplish neighborhood goals through the city's Neighborhood Grant Program.

Each year in May the NDAs elect leadership teams including Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Land Use Committee Members, and a representative on the city's Public Safety Advisory Committee (PSAC).

The success of each NDA is determined by many factors, but one of the most important is its ability to attract a dynamic, diverse and welcoming group of people that attend and participate in meetings, help with various activities and events, and eventually become members of the leadership team.

In order to ensure that the NDAs are attractive to the people who live in each neighborhood you are invited to participate in a discussion and survey below to help the current leaders understand what would most interest you if you were to get more involved with your NDA.

The survey and discussion will close on Friday, October 28 at 5 PM.

Milwaukie tiene siete Asociaciones de Vecinos del Distrito (Neighborhood District Associations, NDAs) que se reúnen mensualmente para mantener debates dinámicos y llevar a cabo proyectos y eventos de desarrollo comunitario. Si vive, posee una propiedad o un negocio, o representa a una organización sin fines de lucro en una de ellas, usted ya es miembro. La participación es gratuita y se dispone de financiación para lograr las metas del vecindario a través del Programa de Subvenciones para Vecinos de la ciudad.

Cada año, en el mes de mayo, las NDA eligen equipos directivos que incluyen presidente, vicepresidente, secretario, tesorero, miembros del Comité de Planificación Urbana y un representante en el Comité Asesor de Seguridad Pública (Public Safety Advisory Committee, PSAC) de la ciudad.

El éxito de cada NDA está determinado por muchos factores. Uno de los más importantes es la capacidad para atraer a un grupo dinámico, diverso y acogedor de personas que asistan y participen en las reuniones, ayuden en las distintas actividades y eventos y, finalmente, se conviertan en miembros del equipo directivo.

Para garantizar que las NDA atraigan a quienes viven en cada vecindad, los invitan a participar en un debate y en una encuesta que figuran a continuación para ayudar a los actuales dirigentes y a la ciudad a comprender qué es lo que más le interesaría si participara más en su NDA.
