Let's Talk Neighborhoods

Hector Campbell Neighborhood Picnic

Did you know you may already be part of an organized group of neighbors that meet regularly to have lively conversations, create community projects and host events? Participation is free and funding is provided by the city through the Neighborhood Enhancement Program (MNEP) to help achieve neighborhood goals.

They're called Neighborhood District Associations (NDAs) and there are seven across Milwaukie. Anyone of voting age or older is automatically a member of their NDA, if they are a:

  • Resident within the NDA's boundaries
  • Property owner in the NDA
  • Business owner in the NDA
  • Designated representative of a business, corporation, trust, non-profit or other community group in the NDA

In short, there are lots of ways to get involved and chances are you're already a member!

Not sure what NDA you're a member of? Visit Get Involved for helpful ways to find out!

The success of each NDA depends on many things, but most of all on having a welcoming mix of neighbors who attend meetings, take part in projects and events, and step into leadership roles over time.

To help make sure NDAs reflect the interests of the people who live in each neighborhood, we invite you to take part in the short survey below. Your feedback will help current leaders understand what would make involvement more meaningful and appealing for you.

The survey closes on Friday, Nov. 14, 2025 at 5 p.m. For questions about NDAs, drop them in Questions below.
