Does the city have a Memorial and Donation Policy? How is that policy different from the Naming Policy?

While the Equity Steering Committee (ESC) subcommittee,  Parks and Recreation Board (PARB), and the ESC, felt it was important to avoid situations where the names of assets or individual amenities inside parks or facilities should be avoided, it was determined by the subcommittee that memorials (such as benches, picnic tables, or trees with plaques) inside of parks or on the campuses of city facilities should be allowed through a separate policy.  It was also determined that recognizing donations amounting to less than 60% of the capital investment costs, less than 50% of the land that makes up a new park or facility, or other sorts of donations (such as those of services, or volunteer recognition) should also be allowed through a separate policy. In this case, the subcommittee again borrowed heavily from the City of Portland and North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD).
