The city is exploring the community’s interest in bringing super-fast broadband internet service to Milwaukie as a public utility and we'd like to hear from you! Here are the various ways to get involved in the conversation. Comments will be accepted until Feb. 14, 2022 at 5 p.m.

  • Community members are first being contacted randomly by telephone by a research company to answer survey questions and then provided with a link to complete a web survey. If you are contacted by telephone and have a few minutes please share your thoughts.
  • Anyone who lives in Milwaukie is welcome to take the web survey as well. If you are unsure where the city limits are, please refer to a City of Milwaukie map (PDF).
  • Businesses interested in participating in a one on one meeting with the survey consultants can contact them at broadband@milwaukieoregon.gov.

In addition, please join the discussion below or submit any questions that you have about this idea. This information will be combined with the telephone survey and shared with City Council to help them make an informed decision about whether to move forward with the idea or not.

There are four topic areas in the discussion below. Please comment on one or all of them.
